![]() | News ![]() Premiere: May 10th, 2008, at the Bologna International Film Festival. Belly Button Broth is a folk tale, a period-piece, set in 1900, in
Bologna. It follows the brief, unrequited love story of an
apprentice pasta maker and the woman who inspires him. The film
was shot in Bologna. Original music by Peppe Voltarelli (who also
has a cameo in the film) and violinist Erma Castriota. The
director is Giuseppe Gagliardi, who also directed the 2007 feature
film, The True Legend of Tony Vilar (right). Produced by Andrea Kerkoc,
Avocado Pictures. 35mm, 10 min.
